Heart’s Crèche

Heart’s Crèche is a free service provided by Hackham West Community Centre for community participants and volunteers of the Centre, who are attending workshops, groups, courses, and volunteering at the Centre. The Crèche is staffed by experienced and qualified educators and dedicated volunteers. Children from the age of 4 months up until they start school can attend. Crèche provides children with the opportunities to learn through play in a safe, fun and inclusive environment that is warm, welcoming, and nurturing.

Our learning environment provides experienced and activities that will support your child’s learning. We encourage their creativity and enjoyment through art, music, books, positive language, numeracy, and outside play. Each child is unique and we encourage each child to make decisions and choices about their daily experiences and play. We listen to their interests and likes, and respect their individual learning. Educators create an inclusive and diverse environment that promotes a sense of belonging and builds positive relationships with your family. Most of all, we have fun!

Crèche is open from Monday to Friday, starting week 2 of each term. Sessions and times will vary depending on the community needs and Centre programs. Please always check the newsletter for times and availability.

Please bring along to Crèche a piece of fruit or healthy snack for shared morning/afternoon fruit time, a nappy, a hat, comforter (if required), a spare change of clothes (labelled), and any bottles required. Crèche is unable to provide a sleep room.

All are welcome
