Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club program runs at the Centre Tuesday to Friday during the school term. This program is for local primary school children who attend either Hackham West Primary School, Noarlunga Downs Primary School or Huntfield Heights Primary School.

Children arrive at the centre and then assist staff in making themselves a nutritious breakfast. After breakfast they finish getingt ready for school, brushing their teeth, hair and getting their bags ready. They then engage in planned morning activities before being transported to their school on the HWCC mini bus.

HWCC offers a transport service to assist families in getting children from their home to the Centre and then from the Centre to the child’s school.

After School Program

The After School Program was formally known as the Boys Boyz and Girls Girlz programs. These programs have now combined together to form 1 group for both boys and girls aged 9yrs to 12yrs of age. The program runs on a Tuesday afternoon during school term (not the first or last weeks of term), from 3.15pm to 5pm. Children who live in the Hackham West Community Catchment area are able to attend the program.

When the children arrive they sit down to an afternoon tea together before moving into the planned activities for the afternoon. These activities are based on child interests, needs, personal well-being and growth. They are fun, engaging, interactive and inclusive.
